This new generation of RoPax ferries, the Stena E-Flexer Class, has been developed internally by Stena and will represent a new generation of highly efficient, environmentally friendly and flexible vessels. The Stena E-Flexer RoPax-class will be powered by two Caterpillar MaK 12 M43 C marine diesel main engines, which will be coupled to Caterpillar gearboxes. The propulsion system will integrate two MPP1500F and two MPP1410F controllable pitch propellers. Last year Stena announced a newbuild contract for a new generation of RoPax ferry vessels, Stena E-Flexer, with planned deliveries during 2020 and 2021.
